Aldi’s stated strategy is to buy the best produce from the best suppliers, and deliver it to its customers at the best price. It sources over 40 per cent of its produce locally to support British growers and pass cost savings to customers.

The Super 6 offer on fruit and vegetables gives families access to affordable and healthy food every week, and from a supplier perspective, Aldi was the first UK retailer to sign the NFU’s Fruit and Veg Pledge.

The business works hard to establish direct relationships with British growers and negotiate season-long deals, to ensure they can operate efficiently with complete cost certainty.
